Overview
The 10G EPON OLT SFP+ Transceiver is a high-performance optical module designed for the central office (OLT) side of 10G Ethernet Passive Optical Networks. Unlike standard GPON, this module adheres to the IEEE 802.3av standard, providing massive bandwidth improvements for FTTx deployments.
This module is highly versatile, supporting Dual-Rate Upstream reception. It can simultaneously handle Symmetric 10Gbps upstream traffic from high-end users and Asymmetric 1.25Gbps upstream traffic from legacy EPON ONUs. Rated at Class PR30, it offers a robust optical power budget to support split ratios of 1:32 or 1:64 over distances up to 20km.

Cross-Platform Compatibility
10G EPON technology requires specific chipset support on the OLT line card. This transceiver is coded and tested for compatibility with major EPON vendors:
- Huawei: Compatible with MA5680T, MA5800 series OLTs (using 10G EPON service boards like XFBA, XFBC).
- ZTE: Compatible with C300, C320, C600 series OLTs (using boards like ETTO, ETTQ).
- FiberHome: Compatible with AN5516 series (using 10G EPON cards).
- Broadcom/Generic: Compatible with white-box OLT solutions utilizing Broadcom chipsets.
Note: This module is for EPON protocols. It is NOT compatible with XGS-PON or ITU-T GPON hardware, as they utilize different transmission protocols and wavelengths.
Mechanical Dimensions
The module adheres to the SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) mechanical specifications, ensuring a perfect fit in high-density OLT line cards without obstructing adjacent ports. The SC receptacle is designed for standard SC/UPC fiber patch cords.
